Invitation to Poetry in Motion, Launch of Vodk's Ladies Collection in Divas@Work on 14 Nov 2007 @ 7pm

We would like to invite you and your partner to the launch of Vodk exclusive executive wear and personal designing and made-to-order services.
POETRY IN MOTION
Draws inspiration from the rhythmical composition of humans as they live their lives - in the way they walk, sit, stand or even dance; the exciting pleasure of the beautiful momentums. As I stand by the roadside and watch the cars zoom by, the street walkers with their elongated shadows in the mid-afternoon sun, the flow of a dress - there is a certain prose with poetic qualities of movement. Closing my eyes, I would imagine the grace and poise that's brought to life with my garments. Would imagine them dancing and savoring the beauty of movement when they are in it.
Our first launch consists of a few pieces of staples that one should have in their wardrobe to bring them through the many occasions in their life. These are classic, simple and chic which highlight the individual personality of the wearer.

That sparks the idea of using art photography to capture the essence of my clothes. As each garments are placed on different surfaces, they take on different forms and personality. Just as each unique individual gives each garment a different personality; it's the small little details that they add on to make each piece their very own. And you will be part of our next exhibition when you come dressed to the theme, our professional photographer will take portraits of you.

How to have great skin - the Diva Way
* Treat your face gently. Never pull, tug, or scrub your facial skin. Be very gentle when you clean, moisturize or apply makeup on it.
* Never go to bed with makeup on. Makeup left on overnight seeps into your pores, clogs them, and congests your skin. Make sure that you wash your face twice at the end of the day. Once to remove the makeup off and a second time to wash the skin itself.
* Hydrate your face frequently throughout the day, even over makeup. You can make your own facial spritz by filling a spray bottle with distilled water and adding a few drops of chamomile or rose essential oil. Shake the bottle gently before each use.
* Keep a treatment and moisturizer on your face, day or night. After you wash your face at night, put on some form of skin treatment, whether it's alpha hydroxy acids, vitamin A or C, or any kind of special cocktail treatment. Let the treatment sink in, then put a moisturizer over that. Go through the same routine in the morning.
* Exfoliate daily. After washing your face at night, be sure to exfoliate. Use a delicate scrub. If you don't have one on hand, a tablespoon of sugar or oatmeal will work just as well.
* Use facial masks regularly, everyday if possible. You can make your own if you don't have one on hand. Mashed banana, avocado or plain yoghurt works well.
* Keep your face covered when you're in the sun. Remember to slather on a high factor sunscreen and put on sunglasses. A wide brimmed hat would complete the gear.
* Eat fresh foods and drink lots of water.
* Manage stress. Stress can show up on your face, no matter how well you take care of your skin. Do something your enjoy everyday, whether it's watching TV or going shopping. Your face reflects what's going on inside of your mind.

Quick Tips for Leather Care
Leather ages gracefully and can last a lifetime with proper care right from the start.
• Always hang leather garments on wide or padded hangers to maintain their shape. Use shoetrees in footwear and stuff empty handbags with tissue to help retain their shape.
• Never store leather goods in plastic or other non-breathable covers. This will cause leather to become dry.
• Allow wet or damp leather to air-dry naturally away from any heat source. Leather can be treated with a conditioner to restore flexibility while suede can be brushed with a terry towel to restore its look.
• In winter, promptly remove salt deposits from garments and footwear by sponging with clear water, then follow with the above treatment for wet or damp leather.
• Avoid very humid and dry environments as well as direct sunlight.
• Do not use waxes, silicone products or other leather preparations that impair a garment's ability to breathe.
• Wrinkles should hang out. If ironing is desired, set iron on rayon setting, use heavy brown wrapping paper as a pressing cloth on right side of the garment and a quick hand to prevent overheating and shine.
• Avoid spraying perfumes or hair sprays while wearing your garment and do not apply pins, adhesive badges or tape. Wearing a scarf at the neckline will help keep hair and body oil away from the collar.
• All products designed to be used at home should be tested on an inconspicuous part of the garment.

Sole-Searching
